Optometrist
Dr. James Jones
Dr. James Jones grew up in Prattville and graduated from Prattville High School. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 2013, where he studied Spanish and Chemistry. He earned his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis in 2017, where he met his wife, Dr. Sarah Vrotsos Jones.
After nearly a decade of practicing optometry in both corporate and private-practice settings, one thing became obvious: the doctor and the patient need more time together. He is excited to bring the direct-care model of eyecare to the community where he grew up, and is able to provide care for both English and Spanish-speaking patients.
Outside of optometry, he enjoys playing guitar, traveling, reading, and spending time with family. He is a proud member (and 2024-2025 past-president) of the Prattville Civitan Club, an organization dedicated to serving the needs of the community with an emphasis on serving those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
